TRANSPORT OF
VEHICLES

In short: no. In order to keep prices as low as possible we move vehicles in bulk we wait until there is a full load before moving. This means in the quieter period during the winter there may be 1 round trip per month (22 vehicles) and in the summer there can be up to 3 (66 vehicle´s moved) per month. If you require a car to be in a certain place at a certain time it is best to book and deliver well in advance. (We do not charge for storage)

For vehicle transport we require:
-V5/Logbook of the vehicle (original or copy) and/or bill of sale
– ID/CC/Passport (copy) of the sender and the receiver

Customs for UK
Are you temporarily importing the vehicle as a tourist? If yes a customs declaration may be required. No import duty or V.A.T. is applicable.
Are you permanently importing a vehicle to the U.K. for use on the road? See our importing page

Customs for Portugal
Are you temporarily importing a vehicle to PT for no more than 6 months?(Foreign nationals only)
If yes, we can transport your vehicle into the EU without any customs formalities or Alfândega process.
Are you permanently importing your vehicle to PT to use on the road?
You may be liable for duty, I.V.A. and I.S.V. Please note we as a transport company do not notify or make declarations to Alfândega on your behalf. The onus is on you as the importer to notify and declare your intentions with the relevant authority within the required timeframe. Failure to do so may render you liable to fines/prosecution.
Are you permanently importing your vehicle to PT for parts?
You may be liable for duty & I.V.A. You may also be subject to local environmental laws and bylaws on disposal. Please note we as a transport company do not notify or make declarations to Alfândega on your behalf. The onus is on you as the importer to notify and declare your intentions with the relevant authority within the required timeframe. Failure to do so may render you liable to fines/prosecution.
Please note that we are a transport company not an import company and do not offer any advice or assistance with the import process in Portugal, the aforementioned points are guidelines only. If you plan to import a vehicle into Portugal permanently it is advised you speak to your local Alfandega for up to date advice on your obligations. Our obligations to you and your vehicle cease at the point of delivery.
